New Public Commission Awarded

SOA received a new commission from Anchorage Service High School for their new library building. We are very excited about this project which will be made mostly of optical fibers and light sources. Harvest for Chanel / commissioned by Peter Marino Architects

dedicated crew made the deadline ! man at work ! Last photo before a long trip !  Harvest completed and shipped to its new home in Chanel Times Square Hong Kong !

  Fragmenta partial time lapse video   Installation of the panels took about a week, completed by Neeser Construction. Structural welding took about ten days. Installation of lighting and electrical components; three days.

More progress and good weather !

actually a few panels are up !

Alaska main structure install complete !

Eventhough it was quite windy, (knocked over my tripod and broke my video camera) we managed to install the main structure in just two days ! The rest will be filling the the gaps with TIG welds. Next week we'll start with the surface panels, lights and ground forming. Still a lot to do but we are hopeful.
